These Terms & Conditions apply to all orders placed with Thistlecraft Florist (“Thistlecraft”, “we”, “our”, or “us”), including those for our floral arrangements, flower delivery, and wedding flowers. By placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
Thistlecraft Florist is a sole trader business specializing in handcrafted floral arrangements, including beautiful wedding flowers and seasonal floral gifts, as well as offering reliable flower delivery options and thoughtful funeral tributes.
Orders for our floral arrangements can be placed through our website, by telephone, via social media, or in person. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that all provided information, including names, addresses, contact details, delivery dates, and personalised messages, is accurate before confirming an order for flower delivery or wedding flowers. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order if we reasonably believe that fraudulent activity has occurred, payment has not been authorised, or if fulfilment of the order is not reasonably possible.
All prices are shown in Pounds Sterling (£). Prices for floral arrangements and flower delivery may change at any time without notice; however, confirmed orders, including those for wedding flowers, will not be affected. Delivery charges are shown separately where applicable.
Payment must be received in full before any floral arrangements are prepared or dispatched for flower delivery, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Ownership of goods remains with Thistlecraft until payment has been received in full, including for wedding flowers.
Flowers are natural products, and every floral arrangement is individually handcrafted. While every effort is made to create arrangements as photographed, slight variations in flower varieties, colors, foliage, and presentation may occur due to seasonal availability and the natural characteristics of fresh flowers. These variations do not constitute a fault. For flower delivery, where necessary, we reserve the right to substitute flowers or materials with alternatives of equal or greater quality while maintaining the overall style, color palette, and value of the arrangement, including for wedding flowers.
Bespoke floral arrangements, personalised bouquets, wedding flowers, funeral tributes, and custom orders are crafted specifically for each customer.
Once work has commenced or materials for flower delivery have been purchased for an order, cancellations or refunds may not be available except where required by law.
We will use reasonable efforts to deliver your floral arrangements on the requested delivery date. However, please note that delivery times are estimates only and cannot always be guaranteed due to circumstances beyond our control, including: traffic, road closures, severe weather, vehicle breakdown, accidents, recipient availability, and force majeure events.
Delivery shall be considered complete once the flowers have been: handed to the recipient; handed to another responsible person at the delivery address; left in a safe place in accordance with customer instructions; or left where it is reasonable to do so if no alternative instructions have been provided.
Risk in the goods, including your wedding flowers, passes to the recipient upon delivery.
Where flower delivery cannot be completed due to: an incorrect address; incomplete delivery information; no access to the property; refusal to accept delivery; or the recipient being unavailable, additional delivery charges may apply before redelivery is attempted. Refunds will not normally be given where delivery failure results from incorrect information supplied by the customer, which can affect orders for floral arrangements and wedding flowers.
Standard orders for flower delivery may be cancelled up to 24 hours before the agreed delivery or collection date. Once preparation has commenced for your floral arrangements, flowers have been specifically ordered, or the arrangement has been made, cancellation may no longer be possible. Any refund or credit issued for wedding flowers remains entirely at our discretion unless otherwise required by law.
Due to the perishable nature of fresh floral arrangements, returns cannot generally be accepted after delivery. Every flower delivery is carefully inspected and photographed immediately prior to dispatch as evidence of its quality and condition. If you believe an order of wedding flowers is incorrect, damaged, or not of satisfactory quality upon delivery, you must notify us within 24 hours and provide clear photographs of the flowers in their original condition. Where appropriate, we may offer: replacement flowers; a partial refund; or a full refund. We reserve the right to inspect all evidence before making a decision.
Fresh flowers require proper care to enhance the beauty of our floral arrangements. With every flower delivery, we include flower food and care advice where appropriate to ensure your flowers thrive.
We cannot accept responsibility for reduced vase life caused by:
- failure to follow care instructions;
- failure to use the supplied flower food;
- inadequate water changes;
- excessive heat;
- direct sunlight;
- proximity to radiators or fires;
- freezing temperatures;
- exposure to ripening fruit;
- pets or wildlife;
- accidental damage after delivery.
As with all wedding flowers and floral arrangements, it's important to note that vase life can naturally vary between different flower varieties and environmental conditions.
The product photographs displayed on our website are representative examples of our floral arrangements. Due to the seasonal nature of flowers, each bouquet will be unique. We routinely photograph completed arrangements of wedding flowers immediately before dispatch for quality assurance, training, and dispute resolution. These images remain the property of Thistlecraft and may be used as evidence of the condition of goods prior to flower delivery.
Wedding and event bookings may require a non-refundable booking fee, especially when it comes to selecting floral arrangements. The remaining balance for your wedding flowers must be paid before the agreed due date. Failure to pay outstanding balances may result in the cancellation of the booking. Specific terms for weddings and large events, including flower delivery, may be agreed upon separately.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that:
funeral details are correct;
funeral director details are accurate;
service times are correct;
and any floral arrangements, including those for the service, are arranged properly.
We cannot accept liability for incorrect information supplied by the customer regarding flower delivery or wedding flowers.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where it cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Subject to the above, Thistlecraft shall not be liable for:
indirect losses;
consequential losses;
loss of profits;
emotional distress arising from delayed delivery of floral arrangements;
losses caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control related to flower delivery and wedding flowers.
Where permitted by law, our total liability shall not exceed the purchase price of the affected order.
We shall not be liable for delays or failures in flower delivery or floral arrangements caused by events outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to: severe weather; flooding; pandemics; industrial action; power failures; supplier shortages; road closures; accidents; and government restrictions, which may also impact the availability of wedding flowers.
All photographs, logos, branding, designs, website content, and marketing material related to our floral arrangements, flower delivery, and wedding flowers remain the intellectual property of Thistlecraft unless otherwise stated. They may not be copied or reproduced without written permission.
Personal information will only be used in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable UK data protection legislation as we process orders for floral arrangements, flower delivery, and wedding flowers.
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, which also applies to any issues arising from our floral arrangements, flower delivery, or wedding flowers services. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Fresh flowers and floral arrangements are handcrafted using a variety of natural and floristry materials. Customers and recipients should handle all products with reasonable care, especially during flower delivery.
Our floral arrangements may contain, or be assembled using, items including but not limited to:
- Naturally sharp stems, thorns, leaves or foliage.
- Floristry wire, pins, staples, picks, skewers and support frames.
- Wooden sticks, canes or structural supports.
- Glass, ceramic or other containers.
- Decorative items that may present a choking hazard to young children.
- Packaging materials including ribbons, cellophane and wrapping.
Some wedding flowers and floral arrangements may contain concealed support materials which are necessary for the safe construction of the design. Care should always be taken when unwrapping, arranging or dismantling any floral product.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that flowers, arrangements and associated materials are kept out of reach of young children, vulnerable persons and pets where appropriate.
Thistlecraft accepts no responsibility for injury, damage or loss resulting from misuse, improper handling, alteration, failure to supervise children, or failure to exercise reasonable care once products have been delivered or collected.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such liability cannot legally be excluded under the laws of England and Wales.
Fresh flowers, foliage, and natural plant materials used in our floral arrangements and flower delivery may produce pollen, sap, fragrances, or other naturally occurring substances that could cause allergic or adverse reactions in some individuals. Certain flowers and plants may also pose risks for households with pets, particularly cats and dogs, if ingested. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the recipient does not have any allergies, sensitivities, or medical conditions that may be affected by the flowers, foliage, or associated materials. When customers inform us of a specific allergy or concern before an order is prepared, we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate that request but cannot guarantee that our wedding flowers, products, or working environment will be entirely free from pollen, plant residues, latex, or other naturally occurring allergens. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Thistlecraft shall not be liable for allergic reactions, sensitivities, or adverse effects arising from the natural characteristics of flowers, foliage, or plant materials supplied.
Some flowers and plants supplied by Thistlecraft, including those used in floral arrangements and wedding flowers, may be toxic if chewed or ingested by pets. Customers are responsible for ensuring that all arrangements, particularly during flower delivery, are kept away from pets where appropriate. If you require pet-friendly flowers, please inform us before placing your order, and we will recommend suitable alternatives where available.
